Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain automation frameworks for APIs, microservices, and asynchronous message queues.
- Use AI tools and LLMs to generate synthetic test data, create test cases, and optimize test coverage.
- Analyze, reproduce, debug, and help resolve complex distributed-system issues.
- Define quality metrics covering test speed, reliability, and coverage, and improve CI/CD testing gates.
- Partner with backend engineers, data teams, and product owners to define acceptance criteria and validate end-to-end data flows.
- Conduct API, database, data-pipeline, performance, stress, and integration testing.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- 6–9 years of software QA experience specializing in backend systems and distributed services.
- Hands-on experience designing API test frameworks with tools such as RestAssured, TestNG, and JUnit, plus proficiency in Java.
- Strong experience with Postman and API specification standards including OpenAPI and Swagger.
- Advanced SQL, data validation, database schema, PostgreSQL, and complex data-pipeline testing experience.
- Experience using AI-powered development and testing tools such as GitHub Copilot and ChatGPT.
- Performance and stress-testing experience with tools such as JMeter, Grafana k6, or Gatling.
- Familiarity with Git, GitHub, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jira, and Confluence.
- Strong communication skills and professional working proficiency in English.
- AWS and Docker experience, startup or high-growth product experience, ISTQB certification, and SAFe Agile experience are preferred.
