Responsibilities
- Contribute to V&V and IV&V activities for flight software functional, performance, and safety requirements.
- Manage requirements tracing from system-level requirements through software implementation, testing, and verification artifacts.
- Prepare and review software certification and NASA Safety Review documentation.
- Interpret, tailor, and apply formal software and safety standards.
- Interface with internal Product Assurance and collaborate with system engineering and software development teams.
- Develop and maintain the software functional design baseline.
- Plan software testing for the integrated mission.
- Use C++ and Python in software design and test discussions.
Requirements
- Experience with safety-critical or highly regulated software systems, preferably in aerospace.
- Strong understanding of requirements management, V&V, testing, and certification processes.
- Strong software engineering background with practical experience in flight software frameworks and modern C++.
- Experience with real-time systems, embedded development, or spacecraft software.
- Familiarity with software testing methodologies and simulation tools.
- Familiarity with standards including SSP 50808, NASA-NPR-7150.2, NASA-STD-8739.8B, RCC319, and ECSS-Q-ST-80C.
- Experience with human-rated spaceflight programs, model-based systems engineering, CI/CD systems, or build systems is a plus.
- Strong cross-disciplinary communication, collaboration, attention to detail, quality focus, and familiarity with agile development practices.
