Responsibilities
- Architect, design, and implement cloud-native solutions in GCP and AWS.
- Establish solution intent and define the responsibilities of major logical components.
- Develop usage, cost-of-ownership, failure-analysis, and other architecture deliverables.
- Ensure solutions align with technology strategy, standard building blocks, operational efficiency, and project economics.
- Analyze, split, and prioritize work needed to implement non-functional requirements.
- Provide technical oversight to keep implementation aligned with the intended architecture.
- Partner with Engineering and SRE teams to analyze outages and resiliency issues and recommend remediation.
- Design overall system architectures and make technology decisions aligned with business goals.
Requirements
- A BS degree in Computer Science or a related technical field involving coding, or equivalent job experience.
- 10+ years of overall experience, including 5+ years architecting and developing software in the public cloud.
- Experience monitoring infrastructure and application uptime, availability, functionality, and performance.
- Experience with one or more of Python, Bash, Java, Go, JavaScript, or Node.js.
- Cross-functional knowledge of systems, storage, networking, security, and databases.
- Experience with microservice design patterns, event-driven architecture, immutable data management patterns, and CQRS.
- Proficiency with continuous integration and continuous delivery tooling and practices.
- Knowledge of containerization and orchestration, cloud services, security, and DevOps principles.
- Knowledge of agentic design standards and experience with RAG, vector databases, LangChain, LlamaIndex, and multi-agent frameworks.
- Cloud certification is strongly preferred.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, presentation, technology-advising, and consulting skills.
