Base Salary
$118k - $118k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and improve CommCare features using version control, continuous integration, automated testing, and daily deployments.
- Develop software for users operating in challenging environments, including remote locations and low-literacy contexts.
- Collaborate with multicultural development and implementation teams worldwide.
- Work with the team to deliver product features and functionality.
- Participate in agile processes, code reviews, and release testing.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of software development experience.
- Fluency in Python and a proven background building quality web software.
- Familiarity with Python, Django, Postgres, Elasticsearch, JavaScript, Alpine.js, HTMX, CSS, Bootstrap, and HTML.
- Fluent written and spoken English with strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work autonomously, prioritize competing tasks, and proactively surface blockers.
- Experience with AI-assisted coding tools such as Claude Code is relevant.
- Familiarity with open-source technology and enthusiasm for public health and international development are valued.
- Experience with data engineering is a bonus.
