Responsibilities
- Own the architecture and technical strategy for complex engineering systems within the Flink engine.
- Translate the broader technical vision into actionable projects aligned with strategic goals.
- Drive execution of complicated technical projects from inception through production.
- Identify and initiate high leverage projects, gaining buy-in from stakeholders.
- Simplify code and design complexity to enhance team efficiency.
- Serve as a technical expert, improving quality and impact of architectural designs.
- Mentor and coach junior and mid-level engineers to foster team growth.
Requirements
- BS, MS, or PhD in computer science or related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 8+ years of relevant experience in stream processing or large-scale distributed systems.
- Strong fundamentals in architecture, design, and development of complex engineering systems.
- Proven ability to lead technical efforts and align groups on direction.
- Strong understanding of cloud engineering principles and mission-critical systems.
- Proficiency in Go, Java, Scala, or Rust.
