Base Salary
$150k - $350k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build physical hardware-in-the-loop test systems and benches for software verification.
- Develop Python-based test infrastructure and libraries for automated testing on hardware devices.
- Design test strategies and test cases from product requirements.
- Automate end-to-end tests for radios, sensors, audio, cameras, video, and device connectivity.
- Interpret results, root-cause and document failures, and fix product issues when appropriate.
- Integrate test runners with automated build-testing workflows.
- Partner with device software, backend, audio, radio, and ML teams on shared test benches.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience testing software on hardware devices.
- Hands-on experience building HIL test benches for automated software testing on devices.
- Proficiency in Python for test cases and test infrastructure.
- Experience designing test strategies and cases from product requirements.
- Experience testing several of Wi-Fi, LTE, 5G, Bluetooth, and GPS/GNSS.
- Experience testing devices with multimedia inputs and outputs such as audio and cameras.
- Ability to root-cause failures across hardware, firmware, and software and communicate findings clearly.
- Preferred qualifications include robotics, motion control, signal simulation, speech and audio testing, agentic test engineering, C, C++, Java, electrical engineering, and consumer electronics, automotive, EV, or robotics product testing experience.
