Responsibilities
- Design, implement, deliver, and test Android applications for client projects.
- Own the technical direction and delivery of client engagements.
- Write code, design systems, and guide architectural decisions in a hands-on leadership role.
- Lead and develop engineers so they become more autonomous, capable, and effective.
- Collaborate with clients, designers, product owners, users, technologists, and leadership.
- Break down complex problems into technical solutions and proactively address delivery risks.
- Support software architecture, development best practices, technology adoption, and high-quality outcomes.
Requirements
- 10–12+ years of experience designing and building complex commercial-grade software systems.
- 4+ years of experience leading Agile teams.
- Expert-level production Android development using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.
- Experience with consumer banking, including account management and onboarding.
- Familiarity with RESTful API integration and third-party libraries.
- Understanding of mobile UI/UX principles and best practices.
- Knowledge of mobile CI/CD pipelines.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Bonus qualifications include fraud management, KYC/AML, regulatory reporting, on-device biometrics, published Google Play Store apps, and responsible use of AI-assisted development tools such as Claude, Claude Code, or Copilot.
- A college degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent experience, is a bonus qualification.
