Responsibilities
- Design, implement, deliver, and test production Android applications for consumer banking clients.
- Own technical direction and delivery for client engagements while providing hands-on architecture and coding leadership.
- Lead engineers, improve team effectiveness, and guide adoption of software architecture and development best practices.
- Collaborate with client stakeholders, designers, product partners, users, and leadership to align technical solutions with business objectives.
- Break down complex problems into effective technical solutions and proactively address delivery risks.
- Stay current with technology trends and experiment with new technologies.
Requirements
- 10-12+ years of experience designing and building complex, commercial-grade software systems.
- 4+ years of experience leading Agile teams.
- Expert-level experience building production Android applications with Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.
- Experience with consumer banking, including account management and onboarding.
- Familiarity with RESTful API integration and third-party libraries.
- Understanding of mobile UI/UX principles and best practices.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines for mobile applications.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to influence technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Preferred experience with fraud management, KYC, AML, regulatory reporting, on-device biometrics, and published Google Play Store applications.
- A college degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience, is preferred.
- Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as Claude, Claude Code, or Copilot is preferred.
