Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement complex Java-based software capabilities for computer-based systems.
- Develop enterprise APIs, RESTful web services, and microservices.
- Use autonomous coding agents for multi-file feature implementation, codebase refactoring, and automated unit and integration test generation.
- Guide AI agents through complex multi-repository architectures and audit generated code for security, performance, and architectural alignment.
- Troubleshoot software, maintain strong testing practices, and manage multiple deadlines.
- Keep current with emerging software development trends and technologies while collaborating with engineers and clients.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of relevant software engineering experience with a related bachelor's degree, 3 years with a related master's degree, or 9 years with a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong experience with Java, modern Java frameworks and libraries such as Spring and Guava, enterprise APIs, RESTful web services, microservices, and object-oriented programming.
- Experience with Linux and configuration-management tools such as Git, Nexus, and Maven.
- Proven use of Claude Code, Google's Antigravity, or Gemini agentic workflows for feature development, refactoring, testing, and codebase management.
- U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain a U.S. government security clearance.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively, learn quickly, troubleshoot effectively, and adapt to changing schedules.
- Preferred qualifications include an existing U.S. government clearance; AWS or Azure experience; distributed, NoSQL, and full-text-search databases such as Elasticsearch, MongoDB, or Solr; scripting; Big Data Platform/JCRS-D or data lake/warehouse familiarity; Jira, Confluence, or GitHub Enterprise experience; and potentially DoD 8140/8570 IAT Level II certification.
