Responsibilities
- Handle embedded software requirements, design, development, and testing independently.
- Develop C software for ARM Cortex microcontrollers and bare-metal real-time systems on FPGA, emulators, and silicon.
- Develop communication drivers for protocols such as I2C, SPI, UART, CAN, LIN, and Ethernet.
- Debug hardware-software interfaces using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, protocol analyzers, debuggers, and related test equipment.
- Develop or contribute to bootloaders, inter-process communication frameworks, low-power schemes, AUTOSAR components, and sensor time-synchronization software.
- Collaborate effectively with engineering teams and communicate technical information.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 4 years of experience, preferably in a semiconductor development environment.
- Strong C programming skills for ARM Cortex microcontrollers and bare-metal programming experience for high-performance real-time systems.
- Experience with at least one of I2C, SPI, UART, CAN, LIN, or Ethernet and related driver development.
- Knowledge of electronics, including board schematic reading and hardware troubleshooting.
- Experience with configuration management tools such as Git and familiarity with Atlassian tools.
- Preferred qualifications include Java or Python knowledge, bootloader and inter-process communication experience, low-power software experience, AUTOSAR knowledge, AUTOSAR MCAL, hardware abstraction, service-layer and application development, AUTOSAR OS experience, EB tresos, Zephyr, FreeRTOS, DOORS, CollabNet, DesignSync, signal processing, radar processing, and ADAS use cases.
