Base Salary
$131k - $237k/yr
Responsibilities
- Plan, design, execute, and document software testing activities, including automated, integration, manual, and formal qualification testing.
- Develop and maintain robust automated software test infrastructures and frameworks for embedded and embedded-adjacent systems.
- Support software fielding, troubleshooting, maintenance, and product quality recommendations across multiple products and teams.
- Provide software test leadership, mentor junior software engineers, and provide technical direction to test teams.
- Review, edit, and generate engineering and testing documentation according to industry standards.
- Represent software testing in IPT meetings and communicate frequently with customers, end users, team members, senior leadership, and government customers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in software engineering, computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, aerospace engineering, mathematics, or an equivalent technical degree, with an overall GPA of at least 3.0.
- At least 12 years of relevant technical experience with a BS degree or at least 10 years with an MS degree.
- U.S. citizenship and eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Defense security clearance.
- Experience testing or troubleshooting embedded software or embedded-adjacent applications that interface with, operate, monitor, support, simulate, control, or communicate with embedded systems.
- Experience leading, mentoring, or providing technical direction to software test teams on multidisciplinary projects.
- Demonstrated experience implementing automated software testing principles on embedded systems.
- Advanced competency in at least one of C#/.NET, C, C++, Java, Python, or Ruby.
- Ability to work across multiple products developed by multiple small teams.
- Experience with automated UI testing, applicable industry standards, containerization, CI/CD pipelines, microservices, guidance and control algorithms, navigation systems, mission planning systems, sensors, MBSE, SysML, hardware-software integration, or software systems engineering is preferred.
- Agile Scrum Master experience and formal test-team leadership or people-management experience are preferred.
- Must reside in North Alabama or be willing to relocate to the Huntsville-North Alabama area.
