Base Salary
$108k - $195k/yr
Responsibilities
- Plan test strategies, design test methods, execute tests, and provide recommendations on software product quality.
- Develop automated test scripts and robust software test infrastructures and frameworks in Linux and Windows.
- Perform integration testing, informal manual testing, formal software qualification testing, fielding and support, and software product maintenance.
- Review, edit, and generate engineering and testing documentation according to industry standards.
- Participate as an integral member of an agile software team and contribute to tasking and progress reporting.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, Mathematics, or an equivalent technical field, with an overall GPA of at least 3.0.
- At least 8 years of relevant technical experience, or 6 years with a master’s degree.
- Recent experience developing software or writing software test scripts in C++, Python, or Java.
- Experience with both manual and automated testing tools and techniques, test methods and procedures, configuration management, and software quality engineering.
- Working knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems and familiarity with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
- Preferred experience includes software test leadership, automated UI testing, embedded systems, database architecture, Ubuntu 22.04, Agentic AI coding tools, and compliance with MIL-STD-882E or DISA STIGs.
- Must reside in North Alabama or be willing to relocate to the Huntsville/North Alabama area.
