Base Salary
$131k - $237k/yr
Responsibilities
- Plan test strategies, designs, methods, procedures, and execution for software products.
- Develop automated test scripts, test infrastructures, and testing frameworks for applications running on Linux and Windows.
- Perform integration testing, informal manual testing, formal software qualification testing, fielding and support, and software product maintenance.
- Review, edit, and generate engineering and testing documentation according to industry standards.
- Participate in software engineering processes, assess product quality, and provide recommendations.
- Work as an integral member of an agile software team and report task progress.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, Mathematics, or an equivalent technical degree.
- At least 12 years of relevant technical experience with a bachelor’s degree or at least 10 years with a master’s degree.
- At least three years of relevant experience leading teams.
- Recent experience developing software or writing software test scripts in C++, Python, or Java.
- Experience with both manual and automated testing tools and techniques.
- Experience developing software test methods and procedures using scripting or compiled languages.
- Working knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems and familiarity with Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Experience with software test, configuration management, and software quality engineering concepts.
- Experience writing automated user-interface tests is preferred.
- Experience with software development under MIL-STD-882E and DISA STIGs is preferred.
- Experience with Agentic AI coding tools, embedded systems and applications, database architecture, and Ubuntu 22.04 environments is preferred.
- U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance are required.
- Must reside in or be willing to relocate to the Huntsville, North Alabama area.
