Base Salary
$108k - $195k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and execute automated and manual test procedures for embedded software applications and integrated systems.
- Create Python-based automated test scripts, automation frameworks, and test harnesses to improve test coverage and efficiency.
- Perform unit, integration, system, regression, performance, formal, simulated-environment, HWIL, and SIL testing.
- Validate interfaces between software, firmware, and hardware components and troubleshoot embedded, networking, hardware, and automation issues.
- Map requirements to test scenarios and procedures and maintain Requirements Traceability Matrices.
- Analyze complex test data, identify trends and root causes, and produce test findings, reports, and recommendations.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and use Jira for defect tracking and test activity management.
- Prepare software test plans, descriptions, reports, and other test documentation.
- Support test planning, effort estimation, scheduling, technical reviews, Test Readiness Reviews, Test Review Boards, and customer demonstrations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to resolve technical issues and improve product quality.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience.
- At least 8 years of experience in software testing, integration, and verification of embedded systems, or at least 6 years with a master’s degree.
- Active Secret security clearance.
- Experience testing embedded systems and integrated hardware/software platforms.
- Experience with software test automation, automated test environments, automation framework development, and Python scripting and debugging.
- Experience with requirements traceability, test scenario and procedure development, regression and performance testing, and post-test analysis.
- Experience validating software, firmware, and hardware interfaces and troubleshooting networks and embedded system communications.
- Experience with Wireshark, Jira, CI/CD pipeline test integration, and software test documentation.
- Strong troubleshooting, data analysis, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
