Base Salary
$145k - $210k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and implement software systems for automated testing of hardware components and spacecraft systems.
- Own frontend and backend development for internal tools supporting test infrastructure, manufacturing, and spacecraft operations.
- Develop component- and system-level automated production infrastructure using Python and full-stack tools.
- Build UI workflows for mission operations, command execution, and telemetry visualization in collaboration with satellite operators and manufacturing technicians.
- Drive cross-functional software architecture, technical design, and hardware/software test strategy.
- Contribute to recruiting and interviewing as the team grows.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional full-stack software engineering experience, excluding internships.
- Strong proficiency with React, JavaScript/TypeScript, and Python.
- Experience with FastAPI or similar frameworks, relational or SQL databases such as Postgres, and backend services.
- Experience working with Linux, shell tools, Git, cloud environments such as AWS or GCP, and on-premises deployments.
- Ability to rapidly prototype and fully develop user interfaces while working across frontend and backend layers.
- U.S. citizenship, lawful permanent residency, or refugee/asylee status is required for compliance with U.S. Government space technology export regulations.
- Preferred experience includes hardware or embedded systems, Docker, Kubernetes, containerized deployments, design systems, satellite operations, aerospace, real-time telemetry, manufacturing environments, automated testing, test instrumentation, schematics, oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers.
