Responsibilities
- Design, plan, and develop complex backend services and cloud infrastructure for a mobile platform.
- Own backend services and infrastructure while driving technical decisions and defining quality and performance standards.
- Design and implement RESTful APIs and microservices with Spring Boot.
- Collaborate across the full development lifecycle from architecture through Kubernetes/AWS deployment.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines and automate infrastructure processes with infrastructure-as-code tools.
- Develop and optimize scalable, reliable, and high-performance services and database structures.
- Collaborate with mobile developers, product owners, UX/UI designers, platform teams, data scientists, and other stakeholders.
- Mentor and coach teammates and take ownership of technical projects.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of backend development experience with Spring Boot.
- Strong knowledge of Kotlin and/or Java.
- Practical experience with Kubernetes, container orchestration, and AWS services including EC2, S3, RDS, and Lambda.
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform and CloudFormation.
- Deep understanding of microservice architectures, API design, and cloud-native patterns.
- Experience or interest in data-driven applications, data modeling, and scalable database structures.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, collaboration, and mentoring skills.
- Experience working with agile development methods such as Scrum or Kanban.
- Corporate and startup experience is desirable.
- Good German and English language skills.
