Base Salary

$214k - $310k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and provide production support for data-center networking features on the Cisco 8000 Platform using SONiC.
  • Build and deliver data-plane and control-plane software.
  • Develop forwarding and services data-plane feature sets.
  • Code in C++ and Python to produce clean, maintainable software.
  • Build automated test suites for kernel module validation.
  • Collaborate with open-source communities and support end-to-end product development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree plus 12 years of related experience, or a master’s degree plus 8 years, or a PhD plus 5 years.
  • At least 5 years of programming experience in C/C++.
  • At least 3 years of experience using Python to build automated test suites for kernel module validation, including Pytest or similar frameworks.
  • At least 3 years of Linux experience.
  • Preferred: knowledge of the Linux kernel, SONiC, SAI, open-standard networking systems and APIs, TCP/IP, BGP, VxLAN, EVPN, and ACLs.
  • Preferred: experience with GDB and PDB and understanding of Git, Jira, Jenkins, and CI/CD pipeline tools.

  • Starting salary range of $214,100.00 to $309,800.00, excluding incentive compensation, equity, and benefits.
