Responsibilities
- Develop highly optimized, visually appealing, and maintainable UI components.
- Perform unit and functional testing, debugging, benchmarking, and optimization of front-end code.
- Support and maintain existing systems and processes.
- Participate in planning, retrospectives, demos, daily stand-ups, and approved development lifecycle processes.
- Collaborate with the IT team on the company’s microservices architecture.
- Work with the Front-End Technical Team Lead on technology direction, standards, and best practices.
- Collaborate with Product Management to assess the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs.
- Translate business requirements into technical requirements while considering usability, accessibility, and cross-browser compatibility.
Requirements
- Proficiency in JavaScript, including DOM manipulation and the JavaScript object model.
- Experience with CSS stylesheet languages such as SASS and libraries such as Bootstrap or Foundation.
- Excellent understanding of React.js and its core principles.
- Experience with React.js workflows such as Flux or Redux.
- Experience with RESTful APIs and knowledge of authorization mechanisms such as JSON Web Token.
- Knowledge of browser testing, debugging, benchmarking, and optimization.
- Understanding of usability, accessibility, and cross-browser issues.
- Proficiency with agile development methodologies.
- Git experience, including Bitbucket, is an advantage.
- Proficient English language skills with excellent written and verbal communication.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Previous experience in the financial markets industry or a similar IT field is preferred.
