Responsibilities
- Design test scenes, datasets, and evaluation protocols for real-world VR, MR, and AR scenarios.
- Develop evaluation frameworks and interfaces for assessing vision algorithms.
- Define and evolve metrics for image quality, perception accuracy, robustness, latency, and system efficiency.
- Perform technical root-cause analysis of imaging and computer vision algorithm performance.
- Benchmark third-party and academic algorithms and assess technical value, system impact, and integration risks.
- Write data-driven technical reports with recommendations for algorithm selection and optimization.
- Collaborate with algorithm, camera, display, and product teams while maintaining independent technical judgment.
Requirements
- Strong foundation in computer vision and imaging algorithms.
- Proficiency in Python and C++.
- Experience building evaluation, benchmarking, or analysis frameworks.
- Strong analytical thinking and technical communication skills.
- Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in a related field.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience.
- Preferred: experience evaluating algorithms under real-time, power, and memory constraints.
- Preferred: familiarity with perceptual image quality, human visual factors, and system-level evaluation methodologies.
- Preferred: experience working with cross-functional or external algorithm partners.
