Base Salary

$115k - $181k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Reverse engineer compiled software and firmware to understand behavior, interfaces, and system-level implementation.
  • Perform static and dynamic analysis using disassembly, debugging, tracing, and emulation.
  • Develop and maintain Python and C/C++ tools and scripts for automated analysis, parameter extraction, and hypothesis validation.
  • Design and implement test and instrumentation software to control assets, collect telemetry, and support test and evaluation events.
  • Document findings in technical reports with diagrams, evidence, limitations, and recommended next steps.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary electronic warfare, RF/DSP, embedded, and test engineers.
  • Present technical findings in reviews and customer-facing reports or briefings.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of professional experience in reverse engineering, binary analysis, malware analysis, or low-level software or firmware analysis.
  • Hands-on experience with disassemblers and debuggers such as IDA Pro, Ghidra, Binary Ninja, WinDbg, gdb, or lldb.
  • Proficiency in C/C++ and Python.
  • Working knowledge of assembly, including x86/x64, ARM, or similar architectures.
  • Experience with embedded systems, interfaces such as UART, JTAG, SWD, SPI, and I2C, and interpretation of logs and telemetry.
  • Ability to communicate technical findings effectively in writing and technical reviews.
  • Active U.S. Government Secret clearance and U.S. citizenship are required; TS/SCI is preferred.
  • Preferred qualifications include a relevant master’s degree or equivalent advanced experience, electronic warfare or RF/DSP experience, FPGA/DSP-adjacent development, hardware/software integration, test automation, and customer-facing reporting or briefing experience.
