Responsibilities
- Provide expert technical support and resolve complex engineering and software issues for AspenTech customers.
- Escalate customer issues and coordinate cross-functional resolution within AspenTech.
- Deliver intermediate and advanced training based on engineering principles and industrial processes.
- Develop and maintain customer-focused training materials for product releases and industry applications.
- Conduct pre-sales consultations, analyze customer needs, and articulate AspenTech solutions.
- Build customer relationships and identify opportunities to increase product usage and business value.
- Support pre-release software testing as a subject-matter expert to improve product quality.
- Coach team members and contribute to departmental improvement projects.
- Conduct account health checks, provide onsite support and consultancy, deploy AspenTech solutions, and write technical white papers as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 12+ years of relevant experience preferred; university experience may count.
- Strong understanding of chemical engineering principles.
- Knowledge of chemical and manufacturing business processes in refining, chemical, pharmaceutical, or process industries.
- Experience with AspenTech Supply Chain software such as Aspen PIMS, Aspen Petroleum Scheduler, Plant Scheduler, Multi Blend Optimization, or Unified PIMS/Scheduling is a plus.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain complex information clearly.
- Ability to identify and drive customer value and growth opportunities while managing competing priorities.
- Ability to travel, usually less than 25% and occasionally internationally.
