Responsibilities
- Design, develop, improve, and deliver high-quality banking software solutions.
- Identify business requirements and develop solutions addressing business problems and opportunities.
- Support mission-critical complex systems in a large IT organization and support environment.
- Develop and maintain applications using Oracle PL/SQL and Avaloq scripting.
- Ensure code is scalable, maintainable, performant, secure, and tested through effective unit testing.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, engineers, and cross-functional stakeholders on requirements and integration.
- Participate in code reviews, knowledge sharing, technology communities, and software development lifecycle activities.
- Manage risk, strengthen controls, and contribute to governance policies and procedures.
- Lead or guide collaborative assignments and support team members through complex technical work.
- Analyze information from multiple sources, communicate complex issues, and influence stakeholders to achieve outcomes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree, preferably in Computer Science or Engineering.
- At least 8 years of application development experience, including at least 5 years of Oracle PL/SQL experience in banking applications or products.
- Experience with Avaloq or alternative core banking solutions such as Finacle, T24, or BaNCS.
- Experience supporting mission-critical, complex systems with extensive batch processing and multiple technologies.
- Knowledge of Oracle PL/SQL, Avaloq scripting, UNIX, Agile Central, and SVN.
- Working knowledge of banking products and financial-services applications.
- Strong knowledge of banking applications and several functional modules, including securities trading, order management, settlement, corporate actions, credit, or payments.
- In-depth financial-services industry experience.
- Experience with JIRA, Confluence, Visio, ServiceNow, and Agile is desirable.
- Leadership experience in private banking IT delivery programs is highly valued.
- Ability to demonstrate skills in risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen, strategic thinking, digital and technology, and job-specific technical capabilities.
