Base Salary
$189k - $272k/yr
Responsibilities
- Architect and maintain the core simulation engine and its adapter layer for integration with vehicle autonomy middleware.
- Lead development of ego-vehicle dynamics and multi-body physics models and integrate external rendering and sensor-simulation engines.
- Own the mathematical logic and backend execution framework for unified simulation-result metrics.
- Set technical direction for the simulation engine and maintain determinism and performance across the stack.
- Lead design and code reviews, collaborate with the Hardware-in-the-Loop team on integration hooks, and mentor engineers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s, master’s, or Ph.D. degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, Physics, or a related technical field.
- At least five years of hands-on software engineering experience focused on simulation, robotics, or physics-based systems.
- Expert proficiency in modern C++ and Python with experience architecting large-scale, performance-critical software.
- Hands-on experience with simulation loop design, vehicle dynamics, or integration with robotics middleware and external engines.
- Prior experience leading and mentoring engineering teams.
- Background in autonomous vehicles or advanced robotics is desirable.
- Experience with high-fidelity rendering, sensor-simulation pipelines, machine-learning integration in simulation, hardware-in-the-loop testing, deterministic computing, or real-time computing is desirable.
