Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize software for high performance and low power using CPU architecture knowledge.
- Run application benchmarks and perform pre- and post-silicon verification against performance and power goals.
- Develop benchmarks for emerging areas and workloads across product segments.
- Analyze software workloads across libraries, compilers, assembly, runtimes, and algorithms to identify optimization opportunities.
- Collaborate with CPU, compiler, kernel, benchmark vendor, and open-source teams to implement CPU performance solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, information systems, computer science, or a related field plus 2 or more years of software engineering or related experience; alternatively, a relevant master's degree plus 1 or more years of experience or a relevant PhD.
- At least 2 years of academic or work experience with programming languages such as C, C++, Java, or Python.
- Strong programming skills in C, C++, Assembly, Python, and JavaScript.
- In-depth understanding of Linux internals and device drivers.
- Strong understanding of computer architecture and operating system concepts.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to address challenging performance problems.
