Responsibilities
- Lead discovery with customer engineers, identify bottlenecks, and define success metrics.
- Design and build Cursor-powered workflows for refactoring, migrations, code review, incident response, and specification-to-implementation processes.
- Rapidly ship initial versions, then harden them through rollout planning, monitoring, and usage-based iteration.
- Own production quality through tracing, evaluations, metrics, model debugging, latency and cost tradeoffs, and failure-mode analysis.
- Work directly with Staff+, platform, and engineering leaders while communicating technical tradeoffs and results.
- Convert customer-built solutions into reusable patterns and improvements for the core Cursor product.
Requirements
- Experience building and owning AI-native workflows in production rather than only prototypes.
- Ability to debug real-world model failures and handle production reliability, including metrics, alerts, safe rollouts, and incident response.
- Ability to lead discovery conversations, operate in ambiguity, and take accountability for customer outcomes.
- End-to-end engineering ability across frontend, backend, infrastructure, and prompt iteration as needed.
- Strong Python and TypeScript/JavaScript skills, with the ability to ramp quickly on new stacks.
