Base Salary
$87k - $198k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and prototype AI and machine learning capabilities for OT, ICS, and cyber-physical environments.
- Analyze network telemetry, asset inventories, logs, sensor data, process data, threat intelligence, and security alerts for AI-enabled automation and analytics opportunities.
- Develop and evaluate ML models, AI agents, RAG capabilities, and other AI-enabled tools for OT security and operations.
- Build capabilities supporting OT asset visibility, threat detection, vulnerability analysis, anomaly detection, incident response, and operator decision-making.
- Evaluate emerging AI technologies for secure use in on-premises, air-gapped, disconnected, intermittent, and bandwidth-limited environments.
- Partner with OT engineers, cybersecurity specialists, data scientists, and mission stakeholders to transition prototypes into deployable operational capabilities.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience in AI and ML engineering, software engineering, data science, or cybersecurity engineering.
- Experience developing applications with Python, React, or TypeScript.
- Experience with ML, large language models, AI agents, or generative AI technologies.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity concepts, network security, and threat detection.
- Ability to develop prototypes and translate technical concepts into operational capabilities.
- Ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Preferred experience includes OT, ICS, SCADA, cyber-physical systems, embedded systems, OT network traffic, industrial protocols, telemetry, sensor data, or process data.
- Preferred experience includes AI-enabled cybersecurity, anomaly detection, threat hunting, vulnerability prioritization, automated response, RAG, agentic AI, vector databases, knowledge graphs, AI orchestration frameworks, and deployment to edge, on-premises, air-gapped, or resource-constrained environments.
- Preferred knowledge includes Kubernetes, Docker, Purdue Model architectures, Modbus, DNP3, OPC UA, BACnet, EtherNet/IP, AI security, model security, and secure AI development; a Top Secret clearance is also preferred.
