Responsibilities

  • Define and own the automation testing strategy across microservices-based platforms.
  • Establish automation standards, governance models, best practices, and quality engineering guidelines across product teams.
  • Design and evolve reusable automation frameworks, shared libraries, utilities, and common testing services.
  • Define scalable automation architecture for component, integration, API, and end-to-end testing.
  • Establish testing strategies for distributed and microservices-based applications, including Docker- and Kubernetes-deployed applications.
  • Drive framework standardization, testability, automation readiness, reporting, traceability, debuggability, and execution visibility.
  • Mentor Automation Engineers, Technical Leads, and engineering teams on automation architecture, quality practices, and AI-assisted development tools.
  • Lead technical reviews and evaluate tools, technologies, and methodologies that improve automation capabilities.
  • Present automation strategy, quality status, and roadmap updates to engineering leadership and influence organizational adoption of quality standards.

Requirements

  • At least 8 years of experience in Software Quality Engineering and Test Automation.
  • At least 3 years of experience leading enterprise-scale automation initiatives.
  • Proven experience defining automation architecture and enterprise automation frameworks.
  • Experience building reusable automation platforms and common testing capabilities used by multiple teams.
  • Deep expertise in component, integration, API, and end-to-end testing.
  • Strong knowledge of microservices architectures and distributed systems testing.
  • Strong understanding of AI applications in test design, test generation, maintenance, defect analysis, and productivity.
  • Strong understanding of continuous testing, DevOps, shift-left quality practices, and modern software delivery.
  • Experience defining automation solutions for containerized environments using Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Proficiency in Java, Python, and/or TypeScript.
  • Experience with Playwright and modern automation technologies.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, communication, mentoring, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to influence technical direction and drive quality engineering adoption across teams.
  • Knowledge of modern software delivery and release practices is an advantage.
  • Semiconductor domain experience is an added advantage.
