Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable automation frameworks for UI, API, integration, and backend testing.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines, optimize pipeline efficiency, and establish release gates.
- Improve test environment reliability through environment management, test data practices, and flaky test reduction.
- Lead load, stress, scalability, and performance testing and help resolve identified bottlenecks.
- Debug complex failures across distributed systems, lead root cause analysis, and prevent recurring issues.
- Use Claude, Cursor, Copilot, and LLM-based tools to improve test design, generate tests, analyze failures, and accelerate debugging.
- Apply AI- and ML-assisted techniques to log analysis, failure clustering, test optimization, and defect pattern detection.
- Partner with DevOps and SRE teams to improve observability, deployment stability, and service reliability.
- Mentor SDET and QA engineers and guide testing practices across teams.
- Apply functional, regression, system, and end-to-end testing fundamentals.
Requirements
- At least 10 years of software quality engineering experience, including at least 3 years in a technical leadership role.
- Hands-on experience building scalable UI, API, and backend test automation frameworks, including Appium.
- Deep experience with CI/CD pipelines such as Jenkins and GitHub Actions, including test integration, optimization, and release gating.
- Understanding of cloud environments, containers, microservices, service dependencies, and test environments.
- Experience with test environment stability, test data management, and flaky test reduction.
- Strong background in load, stress, scalability, and performance testing and bottleneck analysis.
- Experience collaborating with DevOps and SRE teams on reliability, deployment stability, and observability.
- Hands-on experience using Claude, Cursor, Copilot, and LLM-based systems for test design, test creation, failure analysis, and debugging.
- Experience applying AI-driven methods to log analysis, failure clustering, test optimization, and defect pattern detection.
- Ability to work from the Bangalore office four days per week.
