Responsibilities
- Own the technical design and development of cross-functional, multi-platform, fault-tolerant application systems.
- Build and maintain both front-end and back-end components of the travel portal.
- Contribute to architecture ownership and high-level design using HLD methodology.
- Improve developer experience by identifying gaps in internal frameworks and tools.
- Establish engineering best practices, standards, and code-review standards.
- Provide technical expertise and support to ensure engineering standards are followed.
- Mentor junior and intermediate associates and guide technical and business stakeholders.
- Work throughout the software development life cycle as part of a dynamic team.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of hands-on software development experience using two or more relevant programming languages or technologies.
- At least 6 years of experience in application and/or data design, architecture, and development.
- Proficiency building both user-facing front-end and server-side back-end applications.
- Experience mentoring junior or intermediate associates and providing guidance to technical and business stakeholders.
- Preferred qualifications include 8 or more years leading the full software development life cycle.
- Bachelor’s, Master’s, or diploma in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience working in an agile environment and familiarity with agile development methodologies are preferred.
- Experience with AWS is highly preferred, with Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud also considered.
