Base Salary
$115k - $160k/yr
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support and resolve complex infrastructure, hardware, software, network, and service-management issues.
- Support the reliability, stability, and availability of Credit Trading and Sales platforms.
- Manage incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventative measures to avoid recurrence.
- Develop support models, service offerings, knowledge-base documentation, and self-service opportunities.
- Perform preventative maintenance, capacity management, resiliency planning, business continuity activities, and risk remediation.
- Implement automation and tune monitoring, thresholds, alerting, and observability to improve operational efficiency and reduce risk.
- Troubleshoot systems using logs, error messages, user reports, databases, and SQL.
- Collaborate with technology, infrastructure, business, and senior trading stakeholders.
- Lead complex assignments or teams, coach colleagues where applicable, and contribute to policies, controls, and governance.
Requirements
- Demonstrated incident-management ability, including rapid troubleshooting, stakeholder communication, and root cause analysis.
- Considerable systems engineering expertise with Windows, Linux, networking fundamentals, and infrastructure troubleshooting.
- Experience with Kubernetes, AWS, Azure, Docker, virtualization, and compute, network, and storage infrastructure.
- Python automation experience for improving system reliability and operational efficiency.
- Practical experience implementing monitoring, alerting, and observability frameworks, including tools such as ITRS Geneos.
- Solid database and SQL experience for troubleshooting, data analysis, and performance optimization.
- Ability to analyze complex problems methodically and implement effective reliability and performance solutions.
- Prior experience supporting Credit or other Investment Banking asset classes such as Rates, Equities, or FX is highly valued.
- Experience with IaaS or PaaS solutions and familiarity with generative AI tools for automation, analysis, or operational efficiency are highly valued.
- Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills with senior business and technology stakeholders.
- Ability to manage risk and controls, support change and transformation, and demonstrate business acumen, strategic thinking, and digital and technology expertise.
