Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate internal platforms, CI/CD pipelines, developer environments, deployment workflows, and shared services.
- Create automation and self-service tooling that improves repetitive, error-prone, or slow engineering workflows.
- Prototype and productionize LLM-powered code modification, migration automation, and agentic operational workflows with evaluation, observability, and guardrails.
- Own ambiguous platform challenges from discovery through design, implementation, rollout, and adoption.
- Strengthen AWS, Kubernetes, infrastructure, networking, container, and observability foundations for reliability, scalability, and cost efficiency.
- Instrument platforms, define success metrics, and use telemetry and product-team feedback to guide development.
- Write design documents, tradeoff analyses, runbooks, and postmortems while collaborating with partner teams and influencing engineering practices.
Requirements
- 5+ years building, shipping, and operating production software, ideally including platform, infrastructure, developer experience, or similar leverage-oriented work.
- Strong software generalist skills with systems knowledge across backend services, automation pipelines, infrastructure, and internal tools.
- Fluency in at least one modern platform language such as Python or TypeScript.
- Experience with cloud infrastructure, AWS preferred, containers, Kubernetes, infrastructure-as-code, and modern CI/CD systems.
- Hands-on experience integrating LLMs or agent-based automation into real engineering workflows.
- Ability to scope ambiguous problems, propose plans, execute pragmatically, and make build-versus-buy and speed-versus-durability tradeoffs.
- Product mindset for internal engineering users, strong written and verbal communication, and ownership through deployment and on-call.
- Preferred experience with developer portals, service catalogs, fleet or dependency management systems, large-scale code migration or modernization, and evaluation or observability practices for AI-powered systems.
