Responsibilities
- Develop autonomy software for aerial and multi-domain robotic systems including Fury and Barracuda.
- Build software supporting computer vision, motion planning, SLAM, controls, estimation, and secure communications.
- Develop and test multi-agent autonomous systems for real-world deployment.
- Create features and algorithms informed by modeling, simulation, and physical systems.
- Work with complex systems and established codebases to deliver critical software.
- Coordinate with perception, motion planning, hardware, and test engineering teams.
Requirements
- Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Top Secret security clearance.
- Strong engineering background from industry or school, ideally in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, or Physics.
- At least three years of experience working with a variety of programming languages.
- Experience building software solutions involving significant data processing and analysis.
- Ability to quickly understand and navigate complex systems and established codebases.
- Desire to work on critical software with real-world impact.
- Preferred background in Physics, Mathematics, and/or Motion Planning for modeling and simulation.
- Preferred experience developing and testing multi-agent autonomous systems in real-world environments.
- Preferred experience with feature and algorithm development and behavior trees.
- Preferred experience developing software or hardware for flight systems and safety-critical functionality.
- Preferred knowledge of distributed communication networks, message standards, military systems, and operational tactics.
