
Embedded Software Architect
Bosch GlobalResponsibilities
- Define project and product software architectures for automotive products, including ADAS and sensor-based systems.
- Support customer project teams by providing software architecture solutions and understanding regional and OEM expectations.
- Participate in design decisions and serve as a key stakeholder on the change control board.
- Mentor architects and promote software architecture best practices and associated processes.
- Evaluate risks, estimate proposed changes, develop alternatives, and collaborate with development teams.
- Maintain architecture artifacts, monitor compliance topics, and represent ASPICE evaluations.
- Develop architecture blueprints from functional and non-functional requirements and identified architectural drivers.
- Manage technical complexity, enforce best practices, improve processes, and represent software architecture across multisite interdisciplinary teams.
- Monitor architecture trends and drive adoption of future technical capabilities.
- Ensure software reuse and manage product-related variances.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience developing software architectures in the automotive industry.
- Knowledge of software architecture standards, design patterns, architectural styles, and technical infrastructure.
- Ability to describe software architectures across programming languages, with C and C++ required.
- Experience with requirements management, traceability, and software architecture tools such as DOORS.
- Experience with SDLC, agile methodologies, microcontrollers, resource management, and software performance optimization for multi-core and distributed systems.
- In-depth knowledge of embedded systems and associated real-time operating systems.
- Knowledge of vehicle architectures and associated systems, with AUTOSAR required.
- Knowledge of automotive security, safety, and connected-systems standards.
- Familiarity with code quality and compliance, including MISRA and other programming-language standards.
- Ability to execute automotive software quality processes, with ASPICE representation required.
- Strong English communication skills and the ability to manage stakeholders and lead a team of architects.
- ISAQB certification, ISO 26262 knowledge, and openness toward people topics are advantageous.
