Base Salary
$179k - $225k/yr
Responsibilities
- Drive the architectural vision for resilient, large-scale production systems.
- Lead strategic automation to reduce systemic toil and improve platform efficiency.
- Manage crisis response, deep-dive root-cause analysis, and system-wide outage prevention.
- Define and govern secure multi-cloud infrastructure-as-code strategy and maturity roadmaps.
- Establish organization-wide service-level objectives and drive error-budget accountability.
- Mentor SRE talent and scale reliability practices across engineering teams.
- Own capacity forecasting, cost optimization, and FinOps strategy for core infrastructure.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related quantitative field such as Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, or Engineering.
- At least 8 years of experience leading SRE or DevOps initiatives and defining technical roadmaps.
- At least 8 years of experience architecting, optimizing, and governing enterprise-scale solutions on AWS, Microsoft Azure, or GCP.
- Master’s degree preferred.
- At least 4 years of experience defining and driving organization-wide IaC, CI/CD strategies, and best practices preferred.
- Experience with two or more high-performance languages for core platform tools and services preferred.
- Expertise in high-scale distributed systems and cloud-native architectures, including Kubernetes and serverless systems, preferred.
- Experience with SRE principles, observability, metrics-driven SLO frameworks, cloud security and compliance governance, and critical production platforms preferred.
- Experience with Zero Trust, Secrets Management, open-source or internal platform innovation, and Generative AI or Headless AI for operations automation preferred.
- Strong technical and strategic communication skills preferred.
