Base Salary
$286k - $359k/yr
Responsibilities
- Define and evangelize technical vision for resilience and reliability engineering.
- Lead response to high-severity technology incidents and minimize downtime across enterprise-critical platforms.
- Conduct systemic root-cause analyses and resolve underlying architectural weaknesses.
- Establish enterprise-wide standards for observability, disaster recovery, and chaos engineering.
- Modernize monolithic systems into microservice architectures and event-driven platforms.
- Define long-term platform strategy, API standards, coding standards, and design practices with senior engineering and architecture leaders.
- Provide authoritative guidance on performance, scalability, operability, architecture, and technical design quality.
- Lead cross-divisional projects and architectural reviews while contributing hands-on technical solutions.
- Mentor engineers, coach technical communities, and support recruiting and professional development.
- Create technical communications, code samples, blog posts, and knowledge-sharing materials.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related quantitative field such as Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, or Engineering.
- At least 9 years of experience in software engineering and solution architecture, enterprise architecture and design patterns, cloud computing, and data architecture.
- Preferred master’s degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering.
- Preferred 12+ years of experience with software engineering and solution architecture, web technologies, distributed HPC and ML systems, cloud computing, and data architecture.
- Preferred 12+ years of professional coding experience with languages such as Go, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, Rust, C#, or Scala.
- Preferred 10+ years of experience with databases and database management systems and 10+ years with public cloud, cloud productivity, or virtualization technologies.
- Preferred 12+ years of experience with full lifecycle system development and networking protocols or third-party distributed systems.
- Preferred 7+ years mentoring senior engineers and 3+ years leading cross-domain architectural reviews or establishing coding and design standards.
- Expertise in the strategic application of agentic AI coding tools to solve systemic development challenges.
