Responsibilities
- Automate infrastructure and platform management for cloud-native applications.
- Design, build, and evolve self-service platforms and automation frameworks for multiple engineering teams.
- Define technical vision, architecture, and roadmaps for platforms, CI/CD, and infrastructure automation.
- Establish engineering, operations, DevSecOps, coding, workflow, and platform standards across the department.
- Improve deployment workflows, release reliability, automation maturity, and operational efficiency.
- Drive reliability and resilience initiatives, including SRE principles, highly available systems, and fault-tolerant architectures.
- Research emerging technologies and make build-versus-buy and platform tooling recommendations.
- Mentor engineers, lead design reviews, support technical development, and contribute to recruiting and hiring.
- Partner with engineering leadership, security, and product teams to align technical direction with business goals.
- Optimize cloud costs, resource efficiency, and operational toil.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience with cloud-native platform engineering, infrastructure automation, and CI/CD strategy.
- Ability to define technical architecture, standards, governance, and multi-year platform roadmaps.
- Experience designing scalable self-service platforms and automation frameworks for multiple engineering teams.
- Experience driving reliability, resilience, SRE practices, and highly available systems.
- Experience with DevSecOps programs, SLI/SLO frameworks, error budgets, or incident-management maturity is a bonus.
- Experience with Kubernetes, service mesh, and platform observability tooling is a bonus.
- Experience influencing enterprise technical strategy, architecture review boards, or governance forums is a bonus.
- Relevant professional certifications such as AWS, Azure, or GCP Professional Architect, CKA, or CKAD are a bonus.
- Experience in financial services or another regulated industry is a bonus.
- Ability to provide technical leadership, mentorship, cross-team influence, and hands-on execution.
