Responsibilities
- Automate infrastructure and platform management for cloud-native applications.
- Design, build, and evolve self-service platforms and automation frameworks for multiple engineering teams.
- Define technical vision, architecture, and roadmaps for platforms, CI/CD, and infrastructure automation.
- Improve deployment workflows, release reliability, and delivery automation.
- Establish engineering, operations, DevSecOps, coding, workflow, and platform standards.
- Drive reliability, resilience, cloud cost optimization, and reduction of operational toil.
- Research and pilot emerging technologies and make platform tooling recommendations.
- Mentor senior and junior engineers, lead design reviews, and develop DevOps capabilities.
- Partner with engineering leadership, security, and product teams on technical direction.
- Contribute to technical recruiting, interviews, competency expectations, and organizational growth.
Requirements
- Deep technical expertise and hands-on experience with cloud-native platforms, automation, architecture, and platform engineering.
- Experience defining technical strategy, architecture, and roadmaps across multiple engineering teams.
- Experience building self-service platforms and automation frameworks at scale.
- Experience establishing engineering, operations, DevSecOps, CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, and reliability practices.
- Experience with SRE principles, including SLI/SLO frameworks, error budgets, and incident-management maturity, is beneficial.
- Experience with Kubernetes, service mesh, and platform observability tooling is beneficial.
- Experience influencing enterprise technical strategy, architecture review boards, or technical governance forums is beneficial.
- Relevant professional certifications such as AWS, Azure, or GCP Professional Architect, CKA, or CKAD are beneficial.
- Experience in a regulated industry such as financial services is beneficial.
- Ability to mentor engineers, lead technical discussions, collaborate cross-functionally, and support recruiting.
