
Lead Software Engineer - Reliability & Support

- Lead software design, development, troubleshooting, and delivery of technology solutions across multiple technical areas.
- Improve application and platform reliability and stability through data-driven analytics and proactive bottleneck resolution.
- Create architecture and design artifacts and ensure software development meets design constraints.
- Analyze large, diverse datasets and develop visualizations and reporting to improve applications and systems.
- Identify data patterns and hidden problems to improve coding hygiene and system architecture.
- Apply agentic AI frameworks to incident detection, remediation, root cause analysis, predictive alerting, self-healing infrastructure, runbook automation, and observability enrichment.
- Lead reuse-first adoption of AI-assisted reliability workflows across software development and operational toolchains.
- Establish secure, resilient, traceable, and auditable practices for AI-assisted engineering and coach engineers on responsible adoption.
- Develop and maintain Splunk dashboards, reports, and alerts.
- Mentor engineers and lead technical initiatives across multiple teams.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts with proficient applied experience.
- Hands-on experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages, including Java and/or Python.
- Experience with large-scale on-premises and public-cloud technology environments, including Kubernetes and AWS.
- Experience with Geneos, Dynatrace, or Datadog monitoring tools.
- Experience developing and maintaining Splunk dashboards, reports, and alerts.
- Experience with ticketing systems such as ServiceNow and Jira Service Desk.
- Experience debugging and maintaining code in large corporate environments and using database query languages.
- Knowledge of the software development life cycle, application resiliency, security, and agile delivery practices.
- Experience using AI-assisted software development tools and validating their correctness, performance, and security.
- Preferred experience building reliability automation for integration and test environments.
- Preferred experience implementing automated remediation, self-healing patterns, runbook automation, observability enrichment, and alert-quality improvements.
- Preferred experience designing governance for AI-assisted engineering usage, including traceability and audit requirements.
- Preferred experience mentoring engineers and leading technical initiatives across multiple teams.
