Senior Software Engineer - Cloud Governance
Mercado LibreResponsibilities
- Architect, develop, implement, test, and monitor systems for the multi-cloud governance platform.
- Evolve the platform by defining integration contracts with other teams and using asynchronous, failure-resilient patterns.
- Present high-level technical solution proposals considering usability, robustness, and performance.
- Act as a technical reference and participate actively in team decisions and quality improvements.
- Recommend improvements to code and infrastructure to reduce complexity, increase efficiency, and lower associated costs.
- Represent the team in relationships with other Mercado Livre areas.
- Document technical decisions and share knowledge with colleagues and external teams.
Requirements
- Experience developing with Java, Python, Golang, or JavaScript.
- Experience with cloud infrastructure and services from providers such as AWS, Google, or OCI.
- Knowledge and practical use of system observability tools such as Datadog, New Relic, and OpenTelemetry.
- Ability to analyze trade-offs and make architectural decisions rather than only implementing specifications.
- Effective collaboration skills, including clear communication, technical documentation, and active knowledge sharing.
