Responsibilities
- Develop and implement scalable, reliable software solutions using Java, Kafka, caching, and related technologies.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
- Participate in code reviews and collaborate with engineering teammates.
- Troubleshoot and resolve software and live-system issues.
- Design, implement, and operate cache solutions for cloud-based, high-throughput systems.
- Deploy and support applications using Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms.
- Monitor systems using logging, metrics, and tracing tools.
- Stay current with engineering best practices and emerging technologies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Software development experience, including developing and supporting cloud-based infrastructure as code.
- Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, object-oriented design, and problem solving.
- Experience with Redis or Valkey cache solutions in cloud-based, high-throughput systems.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Kafka, and AWS.
- Experience with logging, metrics, and tracing tools such as Grafana and Splunk.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
- Familiarity with APIs or gRPC services, automated deployment pipelines, and open-source or passion projects is preferred.
