Base Salary
$138k - $172k/yr
Responsibilities
- Drive complex system design in collaboration with the architecture team.
- Perform code reviews and mentor the development team on engineering best practices.
- Make key technical design and implementation decisions and help guide engineering vision.
- Define requirements with stakeholders and develop scalable, reliable, developer-friendly microservices APIs.
- Design, build, maintain, and improve systems supporting business applications.
- Develop new functionality and maintain existing components.
- Contribute to compliance initiatives and complete required HIPAA, PHI privacy, security, and policy training.
- Improve engineering processes and evangelize best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in computer science or a comparable program, or equivalent experience.
- At least 7 years of overall software development experience, preferably building secure and scalable web applications with Java.
- Experience with object-oriented programming in Java, Spring Framework, and Hibernate.
- Experience with cloud technologies; AWS is preferred.
- Experience with microservice enterprise architecture, cross-platform integration, and scalable applications in heterogeneous environments.
- Experience with software development lifecycle activities including build, software configuration, change control, release, and deployment.
- Strong relational database design, optimization, and SQL programming skills, preferably with MySQL or PostgreSQL.
- Experience with Docker or container-oriented technologies and frontend technologies such as React, Sass, Gulp, Rails, Bootstrap, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Strong teamwork, analytical, organizational, communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.
