FAE - Senior Field Applications Engineer (AI & Vision Specialist)

- Provide technical support for customer use of Hailo NPU products, including deep learning model quantization, compilation, and optimization.
- Support VPU and vision/video processing applications, including system integration and performance optimization.
- Port and integrate Hailo NPU/VPU drivers in embedded Linux environments using Kernel and Yocto.
- Debug hardware/software integration issues involving PCIe and USB interfaces.
- Optimize AI acceleration performance for frame rates, memory bandwidth, and power consumption.
- Design, troubleshoot, and support GStreamer-based video pipelines and AI vision integrations.
- Lead or support customer workshops, seminars, technical demonstrations, and account-level technical projects.
- Collaborate with global Business Unit and headquarters engineering teams and communicate customer requirements and market feedback.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
- At least 2 years of professional experience in embedded systems, Edge AI, AI hardware, VPU/vision processing, or related development and technical support.
- Experience developing or supporting AI, computer vision, or AI acceleration solutions is preferred.
- Strong customer-facing communication, technical presentation, English documentation, and technical writing skills.
- Preferred experience with third-party AI accelerator platforms such as NVIDIA TensorRT, DeepStream, or Intel OpenVINO.
- Preferred experience with GStreamer pipelines and custom plugins, OpenCV, or FFmpeg.
- Preferred experience optimizing video pipelines involving H.264 and H.265/HEVC media codecs and NPU input tensors.
- Experience collaborating with global engineering teams and supporting multiple customers is preferred.
