Responsibilities
- Define architecture, technical roadmaps, and long-term technical direction for large-scale systems.
- Lead ambiguous, cross-cutting initiatives from problem framing through production delivery.
- Make foundational design and technology decisions for scale, reliability, performance, and maintainability.
- Own deployment, observability, patching, upgrades, lifecycle management, and production incident resolution.
- Drive alignment and technical decisions across multiple teams without formal authority.
- Mentor engineers, conduct design and code reviews, and contribute to career growth.
- Improve how customers deploy, operate, and trust SentinelOne products.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of backend development experience with technical leadership on large-scale systems.
- Proficiency in at least one of Go or Python, with strong data structures, algorithms, and system design fundamentals.
- Experience with unit and integration testing, relational and NoSQL databases, database design, and sharding.
- Experience designing distributed systems and high-performance microservices-based backend systems at scale.
- Hands-on experience with event-driven architecture, Kafka or comparable messaging platforms, high-scale API design, and resilience patterns such as circuit breakers.
- Deep understanding of operating systems and networking fundamentals.
- Hands-on experience with at least one of AWS, GCP, or Azure, plus Docker and Docker Compose.
- Ability to influence across teams, mentor engineers, communicate technical complexity in business context, and work effectively in hybrid or remote teams.
- Preferred qualifications include open-source contributions, AI coding-agent and agentic development experience, on-premises/self-hosted/air-gapped architecture experience, and Kafka ecosystem experience including Kafka Pub/Sub and Kafka Connect.
