Responsibilities
- Perform integration, system, and end-to-end feature validation of LTE, NR, and GSM products.
- Build automation for end-to-end features using Python and Pytest.
- Identify validation scenarios and improve test coverage, product robustness, and stability.
- Investigate and perform root-cause analysis for field and lab issues spanning UE, RAN, core, platform, EMS, and system layers.
- Correlate UE, PHY, DU/MAC/SCH, CU/L3, core, platform, RRH, system, EMS, and monitoring evidence.
- Reproduce field and customer issues in production-like laboratory environments.
- Work directly with customers and field teams and feed investigation results into design, regression, and stability improvements.
- Use AI tools for code understanding, log analysis, debugging, evidence correlation, and root-cause analysis.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Communication, Computer Science Engineering, or a related engineering discipline, or a master’s degree, or equivalent training, education, and experience.
- Strong understanding of wireless and telecom systems across 2G, 4G LTE, 5G NSA, and 5G SA, including RRC, S1AP/NGAP, X2/Xn, PDCP/RLC/MAC scheduling, PHY/FAPI, GTP-U, and core/platform interfaces.
- Hands-on experience with Python and Pytest for tooling and automation scripting.
- Proven debugging and root-cause analysis skills, including coredumps, gdb, log and PCAP analysis, memory/crash triage, and KPI/counter reasoning.
- Ability to reason across UE, RAN, core, platform, and EMS layers rather than a single system layer.
- Willingness and aptitude to use AI tools as a daily engineering accelerator.
- Preferred experience with O-RAN, disaggregated CU-DU architectures, split 7.2 fronthaul, PTP/timing, IPsec/transport, EMS/OSS, Kibana/KPI monitoring, PM counters, networking, and field/customer-facing deployment or NPI work.
- Scrum or Agile delivery experience is preferred.
