Responsibilities
- Understand project goals and requirements, identify gaps and testing impediments, and anticipate high-risk software areas.
- Develop and maintain test plans, test strategies, test cases, and test-result reports.
- Perform manual, functional, end-to-end, regression, smoke, and web services testing.
- Drive test automation initiatives using scripting languages, automation frameworks, and testing tools.
- Create defect reports, track defects through resolution, and provide timely test updates to management.
- Collaborate with development, business, and other teams to understand requirements and resolve quality issues.
- Follow formal software test design techniques, QA processes, and quality standards.
- Support quality control systems, inspections, compliance with industry standards, and continuous improvement.
- Build collaborative relationships and use interpersonal and conflict-management skills to support project success and team productivity.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related experience.
- 4 to 6 years of software testing experience.
- Strong QA background in manual and functional testing.
- Knowledge of SQL and Oracle queries.
- Experience preparing test plans and strategy documents, gathering requirements, and writing test cases.
- Experience with web services testing and formal software test design techniques.
- Experience with functional, end-to-end, regression, and smoke testing.
- Hands-on experience with automation, frameworks, tools, scripting languages, and logical implementations.
- Strong verbal and written communication, analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Ability to collaborate with development and business teams and communicate problem impacts.
- Security and performance testing exposure is preferred.
- People-management skills and experience managing conflicts, increasing productivity, hiring, and developing talent are required.
