Responsibilities

  • Define and lead end-to-end test strategies for complex applications, integrations, and platforms.
  • Analyze requirements, architecture, and design documents to identify gaps and improve testability.
  • Lead test planning, estimation, prioritization, execution, reporting, and quality governance for releases and major initiatives.
  • Create, maintain, and improve automated UI, API, and backend test suites and frameworks.
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and optimize test environments, data, and tools.
  • Execute functional, integration, regression, performance, and security testing as needed.
  • Identify, document, track, and analyze defects and facilitate root-cause analysis with engineering teams.
  • Provide quality metrics, dashboards, trend analysis, and recommendations for corrective action.
  • Champion continuous improvement in testing processes, automation adoption, and Agile quality practices.
  • Conduct peer reviews of test cases, automation scripts, and documentation.
  • Collaborate with developers, product owners, and business stakeholders to build quality into development.
  • Mentor junior and mid-level QA staff and communicate risks, dependencies, and quality expectations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, information systems, or a related field.
  • 5–10+ years of software QA, test engineering, or related technical experience.
  • Proven experience leading QA activities within Agile/Scrum teams.
  • Experience architecting or enhancing automation frameworks.
  • Strong understanding of QA methodologies, SDLC, STLC, and the test automation lifecycle.
  • Hands-on experience with Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Appium, Postman, REST-Assured, and SoapUI.
  • Proficiency in Python, JavaScript, Java, or C#.
  • Experience with CI/CD platforms and test integration.
  • Understanding of SQL/NoSQL databases and data validation.
  • Familiarity with Azure, AWS, or GCP is preferred.
  • Preferred certifications include ISTQB Advanced Level Test Analyst or Technical Test Analyst, Certified Software Quality Analyst, Selenium or test automation certifications, and Agile or Scrum certifications.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, documentation, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with leadership presence and the ability to work autonomously.
