Responsibilities
- Develop test plans, use cases, test scenarios, and test cases based on business and functional requirements.
- Execute manual and automated tests for new features, product changes, and existing application functionality.
- Build and maintain automated test scripts using C# .NET and existing automation frameworks.
- Write database queries to validate data, troubleshoot defects, and confirm application behavior.
- Document, report, and track defects through resolution using test management and defect tracking tools.
- Evaluate automation framework changes and recommend improvements to test coverage, maintainability, and execution efficiency.
- Communicate test status, risks, and defects to technical and nontechnical stakeholders while collaborating with teams in India and the US.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of software quality assurance testing experience for web, application, or financial technology products.
- At least 4 years of experience creating test plans, test cases, use cases, and test scenarios from business and functional requirements.
- At least 4 years of experience developing or supporting automated test solutions using C# .NET or a similar object-oriented programming language.
- At least 4 years of experience writing Structured Query Language queries to validate application data and troubleshoot testing results.
- At least 4 years of experience using test management and defect tracking tools.
- At least 4 years of experience communicating test status, risks, and defects to technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, related experience, and/or military experience.
- Preferred experience includes banking, bill payment, or electronic billing products; Agile testing practices; UNIX and Windows command-line functions; Python, VBScript, Ruby, AutoHotKey, Microsoft Office, SharePoint, or Skype.
