Responsibilities

Design and present scalable architectures using Mapbox SDKs and APIs.
Lead technical discussions to identify customer goals and requirements.
Build and deliver proof-of-concept solutions demonstrating customer value.
Partner with Account Executives to position technical differentiation.
Apply expertise in GIS and spatial data processing to deliver business value.
Communicate effectively with developers, architects, and decision-makers.
Provide structured feedback to influence product and engineering roadmaps.
Collaborate with automotive customers on navigation and connected vehicle solutions.
Design architectures for real-time telemetry and EV ecosystem solutions.
Support integration of Mapbox technologies into in-vehicle systems.

8+ years in solutions architecture, pre-sales engineering, or enterprise consulting.
Fluent in Japanese and English, both written and verbal.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
Proven experience with GIS, location intelligence, and geospatial data processing.
Hands-on experience with cloud platforms; certification in AWS, Azure, or GCP is desirable.
Proven experience with web and mobile technologies, especially JavaScript.
Ability to translate complex requirements into scalable technical architectures.
Demonstrated ability to connect technical architectures to business value.
Proven ability to work autonomously and collaborate across teams.
Exceptional communication skills with technical and executive audiences.
Willingness to travel up to 25% for customer meetings and events.
Experience collaborating with OEMs and Tier-1 suppliers in automotive programs.
