
Technical Architect
Guidewire SoftwareResponsibilities
- Communicate with Japanese customers in Japanese to understand system integration needs and align technical solutions with business requirements.
- Build relationships with customer infrastructure teams and system integrators to coordinate integration solutions.
- Design and develop system integrations using Guidewire’s Integration Framework.
- Manage data flows between Guidewire applications and external systems while ensuring data integrity.
- Create integration design documents and technical specifications.
- Conduct proof-of-concept activities to validate integration approaches and demonstrate feasibility.
- Design, test, configure, and deploy integrated software systems.
- Collaborate with Guidewire global teams to share technical insights and align integration strategies.
- Represent Guidewire with customers and communicate product strengths and weaknesses to product management.
Requirements
- JLPT 1-level Japanese proficiency, understanding of Japan’s business environment, and relationship-building skills.
- English fluency demonstrated by the stated TOEIC range or equivalent qualification, or by passing a language assessment.
- More than 7 years of combined software development and consulting experience, with at least 3 years in each area.
- Extensive Agile development experience.
- Experience with advanced web applications.
- At least 2 years of object-oriented programming experience, such as Java or C#.
- At least 2 years of relational database and cloud platform experience, including AWS or GCP.
- Ability to lead discussions, manage customer situations, and deliver technical solutions from design through deployment.
- Strong communication, leadership, organizational, customer service, and independent-working skills.
- Ability to apply AI and data-driven insights to improve innovation, productivity, and continuous improvement.
- Preferred experience with Japanese non-life insurance, systems analysis or consulting, and Guidewire product design, configuration, and testing.
- Preferred experience with web service APIs, REST, JSON-RPC, SOAP, message queues, enterprise integration middleware, microservice architecture, software or network security, Git, TeamCity, and Datadog.
