Responsibilities
- Lead delivery of software or infrastructure development services for large or complex projects.
- Design, develop, deliver, and maintain solutions or infrastructure while ensuring compliance with relevant standards.
- Perform coding, debugging, testing, and troubleshooting throughout the development process.
- Provide advanced technical expertise, technical advice, and continuous improvement for current solutions, infrastructure, and emerging technologies.
- Analyze business and user requirements and ensure that technical designs meet those requirements.
- Lead the work group by establishing appropriate expectations, principles, structures, tools, and responsibilities.
- Drive consistency in processes, procedures, standards, and technical design.
- Develop and evaluate AI systems involving language-model fine-tuning, embeddings, agentic systems, A/B testing, and performance benchmarking.
- Deliver software or platform engineering solutions using container orchestration and container engines.
Requirements
- Advanced proficiency in designing, developing, and debugging solutions.
- Advanced knowledge of one or more of C#, Java, or Python.
- More than 10 years of applied experience and significant relevant software or platform engineering experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, IT, mathematics, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience delivering software or platform engineering solutions, providing technical advice, and handling user requirements.
- Experience with code management, configuration management, and automation tools such as GitHub and ADO.
- Proficiency in fine-tuning language models for tasks such as text generation, summarization, and question answering.
- Knowledge of embedding models and their use in similarity matching, clustering, and information retrieval.
- Familiarity with designing and implementing agentic systems that combine AI models with external tools or environments.
- Ability to design evaluation frameworks for AI models and agents, including metrics, A/B testing, and performance benchmarking.
- Significant proven experience building applications with Kubernetes and Docker.
- Microsoft, Google, or AWS certifications are advantageous.
- Strong self-direction, curiosity, creativity, ambition, and passion.
