Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable RESTful APIs and high-volume transactional systems using .NET and Java.
- Re-platform and modernize large legacy and mainframe applications, including documenting implementations and current-state behavior.
- Develop and deploy cloud-neutral, 12-factor, containerized APIs to AWS and Azure.
- Participate in architecture, design, code, and formal technical reviews.
- Develop software using object-oriented design principles, domain-driven design, service-oriented architecture, and microservices architecture.
- Implement unit, functional, and non-functional test automation.
- Support software releases into production environments.
- Lead and mentor developers and collaborate with global development, business, producer, and consumer teams.
- Publish clear and thorough design documentation.
Requirements
- Bachelor ’s or master’s degree in computer science or a related technology discipline.
- At least 7 years of software development experience on business-critical, enterprise-wide applications.
- Strong .NET coding experience for mid-tier business logic and calculation applications; this is not a UI/front-end development role.
- Experience building scalable server-side enterprise applications, domain-intensive APIs, and high-volume transactional systems.
- Experience with cloud-neutral application development using AWS and Azure.
- Experience leading and mentoring a team of developers.
- Experience re-platforming large applications and debugging legacy systems.
- Experience with mainframe applications and C++, Java, and .NET implementations.
- Experience with relational databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, or Sybase.
- Experience with CI/CD using Azure DevOps and Jenkins and containerized deployments using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with test automation tools including SOATEST, SOASTA, and Cucumber.
- Experience with Java APIs is a plus, and Spring MVC, Spring Core, and Spring Boot experience is a plus.
- Financial services technology experience, knowledge of AI and developer-assistance tooling, and Agile/Scrum experience are preferred.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, written communication, verbal communication, teamwork, and collaboration skills.
